Quilts tell stories. They depict times and places, the lives of people who make them, and capture ordinary details of real life. The variety of fabric pieces, the patterns, the intricate hand-stitching, the frayed edges from years of use, make up a quilt’s unique identity. The Ripon Historical Society has 34 quilts in its collection, ten of which are listed on the National Quilt Index. We need your help to continue to care for and preserve this important collection. By sponsoring a quilt for $40, you could fund the purchase of an archival acid free quilt box to facilitate proper storage for the preservation of one quilt. Please help us to continue our mission to preserve this important part of Ripon’s history.
